At Disney's Magic Kingdom park, Liberty Square is slowing becoming irrelevant. Where there once stood a Muppet themed "U.S.A." show in the square, it has now become nothing more than a bridge between other areas of the park. Only the Hall of Presidents remains.

There has been a lot of speculation that the HOP was on the way out. Disney has been mulling over changes to the animatronic history lesson but Walt Disney was enamored with Abraham Lincoln and Disney has kept it around since around the time the park opened.

This year, Disney was faced with a problem. Had Joe Biden stayed in the election, they could have easily shut it down and replaced the venue with a muppets styled show which is the big rumor. With him dropping out, Disney had to wait to see if Kamala Harris would win the election. Had she won, Disney may have been more pressed to leave the show up with the first female president showcased. That didn't happen and now, if Disney wanted to, there would be far less dissention if they opted to shut it down.

There is a lot to like about the HOF and if you have skipped it all these years it's a great way to see some of the U.S. history as well as historical items in the waiting area but if we are being honest, this doesn't need to be at M.K. anymore.

Disney should make a three-park trade with the Hall of Presidents.

Closing HOP is expected but why close it down for good? What Disney should do is move the attraction to EPCOT where it can be scaled down a bit more for the American Pavilion. The animatronics don't really need to "nod" their heads when their names are called and the sitting president doesn't need to speak. They could also replace the American Experience at the pavilion which is incredibly boring even on a 100-plus degree day.

The second part of this trad would be to move the Muppets from Hollywood Studios into Liberty Square. Redo the 3D film, take up the theater where HOP was at and give guests a better experience with a muppet theme. If Disney wants the Muppets at MK, then simply take them from HS.

In it's place at Hollywood, Disney could move the Star Wars experience in Animation Courtyard to where the current Muppets 3D section is at between Star Tours and Galaxy's Edge. That would make the most sense and give the parks three new or at least new locations for current attractions that are far out of place.
