New shows and movies have been consistently coming to Disney+ and this summer's lineup has a few that look promising! We've got at least two new series and one new movie to look forward to soon, and many people are excited for their release.
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld (Series)
Coming to Disney+ on May 4 (our unofficial Star Wars holiday) is the third installment of the Star Wars Tales anthology series, Tales of the Underworld. It is said to have six episodes centered around two bounty hunters on the run, Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane.
On one side of this mini series, Asajj Ventress must start her new life on the run a with a new ally by her side and encountering a mysterious foe. The other side follows the story of Cad Bane who becomes an outlaw, at odds with a Marshall that used to be his best friend.
The previous two short series in this anthology, Tales of the Jedi and Tales of the Empire, both had high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, and it looks like this new addition will follow suit. It will be interesting to see what lies on the path ahead for these two complex villains.
Ironheart (Series)
This new mini series is set to begin streaming on June 24 and it will have six episodes premiering weekly.
Ironheart takes place after the events following Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the story, Riri Williams returns home to Chicago wanting to put her knowledge and skills to the test to build a powerful iron suit. On her journey, she meets the charming but questionable Parker Robbins, aka The Hood.
While there isn't an official trailer yet, you can catch a 15-second glimpse of it in this Marvel Studios Look Ahead video above!
Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires (Movie)
Premiering on Disney Channel July 10, and on Disney+ the next day, Zed and Addison are returning in the newest Zombie movie for summer camp. As camp counselors, cheerleader Addison (half-human, half-alien) and Zed (a zombie) struggle to unite the Daywalkers and the Vampires.
The duo has managed to unite opposing sides in the previous Zombie movies, and the ideas for more sequels have just kept coming. There's no telling if this will be the last addition to the series or not.
More great things are sure to come to Disney+ as 2025 continues with more titles to come in the next couple of years. One thing's for sure: you'll never run out of shows or movies to watch on this streaming app!
