For the past couple of years, Disney World has rewarded its annual passholders with magnets. The magnets have become sort of a fun collectible, each featuring a special character and design.
Over the years we've seen magnets inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Simba, Figment, Tinker Bell and more. The only downside to these magnets is that Disney World typically now requires you to visit one of its parks during a select period of time.
This is usually find if you're a local, but for those who live a few hours (or even further) away, it can be a bit of a hassle. Still, the magnets are appeciated by passholders as one of the rare few perks we still receive.
Well, it seems Disney is feeling a bit cheery this holiday season. Maybe it's the improved earnings report, but Disney is in the mood for giving.
Earlier this month, I received a surprise package: a festive baking set that includes four different recipe cards, each featuring a different Disney character and inspired by a Walt Disney World treat.
When opening up the card, I was greeted with a heartwarming message from Disney:
"“As a thank you for sharing your magic with us, we whipped up this special baking set just for you. Sprinkled with whimsical nods to teh wonder of our Parks and Resorts, we hope it adds a dash of Disney magic to all your holiday traditions! Happy baking!”"
Each of the four holiday-themed cards contains a unique recipe inspired by the accompanying character and a delicious treat found at Walt Disney World. The four recipe cards are:
- Mickey Mouse Beignets (Disney's Port Orleans Resort)
- Jack Jack's Num Num Cookies (Neighborhood Baker at Disney's Hollywood Studios)
- Chef Mickey's Sugar Cookies (Disney's Contemporary Resort)
- Tres Leches Cake with Toasted Coconut (EPCOT)
It seems that the recipe cards are exclusive to Disney World Annual Passholders, but it's not hard to find the ingredients and recipes online.
