When it comes to Disney and the Star Wars universe, it hasn't always been smooth sailing across the galaxies. In fact, The Acolyte was highly touted, then bombed and then canceled. Meanwhile, previous series that did well were not renewed. That might be changing for one such series.

Ewan McGregor has been an incredible Obi-Wan Kenobi, and after the success of the Obi-Wan series, fans have been dying to dive back into the life of their favorite Jedi trainer. McGregor has always been on board with another series to further take the character into new adventures, but Disney has been reluctant. That may be about to change.

McGregor, at an Los Angeles Comic-Con event answered a fans question about the possibility of a return to that world. McGregor confirmed that there have been exploratory conversations about ideas for a second season with Disney and LucasFilm.

It would make sense. The Obi-Wan series did quite well for Disney and was universally applauded for showing some of what happened to the aging Jedi between the end of Star Wars: Episode III and the start of Episode IV: A New Hope.

Obi-Wan eventually becomes a recluse on Tattoine as every Star Wars fans know but something made him decide to stay gone despite coming out of hiding to help Leigh and battle once again, his former Padawan, Darth Vader. Eventually, Obi-Wan goes into hiding for good.

Ewan McGregor would love to see Hayden Christensen return if there is another season.

Originally, Christensen's portrayal of Darth Vader was panned. He came across as a whiny Anakin Skywalker but the ugly reviews have tempered over the years and now he is a welcomed part of the Star Wars landscape. A return to the series would be amazing.

Disney only needs to approve another season, but frankly, the should approve two more and film them at the same time. There are arcs left to be told and if Disney was smart, they could simultaneously tell more of the Vader arc as well and what happened during those years between him becoming Vader to the film Rogue One. How many times has Obi-Wan quietly thwarted Vader's plans for domination?
