The 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival kicked off this week. The annual celebration, which runs through May 27 this year, features plenty for guests to do.

From taking in the sites of the gorgeous topiaries to tasting the delicious culinary creations to the Garden Rocks concert series, there's no shortage of entertainment to be had for free once you enter the park.

Another activity you can participate in is Spike's Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt. It's not free, but you do get a reward at the end. Here are the details!

What is Spike's Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt?

Every event in EPCOT typically has some sort of scavenger hunt. Depending on the celebration, Disney will hide themed items throughout the different countries in the World Showcase.

You are given a map with the designated areas and are tasked with finding Spike hiding in the gardens. Once you find him, you place the corresponding plant sticker over the correct garden circle on the map. When complete, you can turn it in for a prize! Okay, so technically, you don't need to complete the scavenger hunt to claim your prize as a cast member will simply give you the prize at the beginning if you ask (although they will mark your map as complete).

The hunt costs $9.99 per map. But why would you want multiple maps?

That's because there are four different prizes you can claim. this year's prizes are mini cornhole games. Each game features a different design inspired by Orange Bird, Coco, butterflies, and Spike the Bee.

While Orange Bird has been the face of the Flower & Garden Festival for years, Spike the Bee has risen in popularity as well. I personally love the Coco design which is lime green with flowers, music notes and guitars in a darker green color.

If you have kids, the scavenger hunt is a great way to keep them occupied as you eat and drink your way around the world. Walking the countries is often pretty boring for children, so giving them the challenge of finding Spike in each country could be fun for them. And at just $9.99 (Annual Passholders also get a 20% discount), it's pretty cheap entertainment.
