5 most affordable Disney World resorts for families of five
One frustrating thing about most vacation spots is the lack of room accommodations for families larger than four. Luckily for my family of five, a few resorts at Walt Disney World have somewhat affordable rooms for us to stay in -- two of them actually accommodate up to six.
If you are a family of five looking to stay at a Walt Disney World resort, then you came to the right place. I have ranked the five most affordable resorts at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. These rankings are in order from the most affordable to the fifth most affordable. However, before we get to these, just note that as of the date of this article, rooms for families of five can range from $350 per night to over $1,000 per night -- with a decent amount in the $700 range. None of these prices include any promos that could drop the cost from $50 to $150 per night.

Disney's Caribbean Beach
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort offers a tropical getaway like no other. With vibrant colors, lush landscapes, and a relaxed island vibe, this resort transports guests to the enchanting Caribbean islands.
Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by the charming pastel-colored buildings, each reflecting the unique architecture of Caribbean destinations such as Barbados, Jamaica, and Aruba. The resort features over 2,000 guest rooms, including pirate-themed rooms for young adventurers, making it perfect for families and couples alike. Trinidad is a location that was recently renovated with a Little Mermaid theme.
Caribbean Beach has the most affordable rooms for families of five. Our absolute favorite resort to stay at while visiting Walt Disney World is Coronado Springs. Unfortunately, none of their rooms accommodate a family of five. Caribbean Beach has become our new home because they offer a fifth sleeper that any of our children can sleep in. Our daughter, who is currently four, has made this her bed of choice, but our 10 and 12-year-old sons can also fit comfortably. One is 5'1" and one is 5'3".
As of the date of writing this article, the range of rates for Caribbean Beach without any special discounts looks to run between $350 and $420 per night depending on what time of year and what dates you are looking to stay. However, there are plenty of promos that drop each year that drop these room rates into the $200s.
One of the highlights of the resort is the Fuentes del Morro Pool, a sprawling pirate-themed pool area complete with water cannons, slides, and a shipwreck play area. Guests can soak up the sun on the sandy beaches or relax in one of the many loungers surrounding the pool. For a more tranquil experience, the resort offers several quieter pools scattered throughout the property.
Dining options at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are diverse and delicious. Sebastian's Bistro serves up mouthwatering Caribbean-inspired dishes in a casual yet elegant atmosphere, while the Spyglass Grill offers quick-service meals and snacks with a tropical twist. Guests can also enjoy refreshing cocktails and island-themed beverages at the Banana Cabana pool bar.
In addition to its stunning amenities, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort provides convenient transportation options to all of the Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Whether by bus, boat, or the iconic Disney Skyliner gondola system, guests can easily access all the magic and excitement that Disney has to offer.
With its captivating ambiance, array of amenities, and proximity to the Disney parks, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is the perfect destination for those seeking a tropical escape with a touch of Disney magic. Whether lounging by the pool, exploring the lush landscapes, or embarking on adventures in the theme parks, guests are sure to create unforgettable memories at this enchanting resort.
