Marvel's recent struggles — both with film and television — appear to be a thing of the past. Following the blockbuster that was Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel returns to the small screen with Agatha All Along.

Agatha All Along is set after the events of WandaVision, which was actually the first Marvel show to debut on the streaming platform. Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch who masqueraded as the nosy neighbor "Agnes" within WandaVision's fictional sitcom.

If you recall, Agatha was trapped in Westview at the end of WandaVision, unaware of her true identity due to the hex cast upon her by Wanda. Having managed to escape her sitcom prison, Agatha, with the help of some unlikely allies, embarks on a quest to regain her former powers.

It's definitely not your traditional Marvel superhero series, which feels a bit refreshing. Instead, it feels more like a Halloween mini-series, with a focus on witches and spells and whatnot.

Agatha All Along is officially Certified Fresh!

Agatha All Along premiered on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 18th. The limited series will consist of 9 episodes, with new episodes debuting weekly every Wednesday.

This week saw the premiere of the first two episodes, but we've already got 80-plus reviews in from early screeners. As of this writing, Agatha All Along is officially Certified Fresh on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. The first season sits at an impressive 78% which is actually right in line with what general audiences rates it (79% on the Popcornmeter).

It feels increasingly rare these days that critics and fans are aligned on a series, especially a Marvel or Star Wars one. So you know there must be something good here. With episodes that run anywhere between 30 and 40 minutes, it's a quick watch. I suggest checking out at least the first episode to see if you get hooked.
