Disney+ is letting the dogs out this October. For the first time ever, the Air Bud movies will be available to stream on Disney+, starting October 1st.

1997's Air Bud is an absolute classic — a hilarious and touching story about a stray golden retreiver that helps take a struggling basketball team to the state finals.

Basketball was just one of Buddy's skills as the athletic canine proved to be a star across all major sports.

A year after dominating the court, Buddy took to the gridiron in a football movie, Air Bud: Golden Receiver. With his owner now the quarterback of a struggling football team, Buddy puts on the pads and helps lead the Timberwolves to the state championship.

And it didn't stop there either. Buddy played soccer in Air Bud: World Pup (2000) and baseball in Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch (2002). Looking for more sports to pursuit. Buddy took to beach Volleyball in 2003's Air Bud: Spikes Back.

We haven't hard a new Air Bud movie since then, but the franchise has entertained families across multiple decades. And now even more will be able to enjoy them when it arrives on Disney+.

Who knows, if the movies prove popular on the streaming service, maybe Disney will decide to greenlight a new Air Bud movie.

All five movies — Air Bud, Air Bud: Golden Receiver, Air Bud: World Pup, Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch, and Air Bud: Spikes Back — will be available to stream on Disney+ starting October 1st.

And that's just the beginning. With Halloween right around the corner, Disney+ is celebrating the spooky season with a spooktacular Hallowstream schedule. This will include the debut of the recent Haunted Mansion movie on October 4, followed by the new five-episode Goosebumps series on October 13.
