6. The Fountain
It’s gone through a few name changes over the years but this place located in the Dolphin resort never changes in how tasty the ice cream options are. True, the Fountain has regular meals like burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and even spaghetti.
The ice cream is a great pull, though, from regular scoops and sundaes at a good price to the ability to create your own sundae with whatever flavors/toppings you’d like. Their floats are also great with treats like the mint-flavored Grasshopper and PB&J Shakes. The prices are far more affordable than other spots, too, making this an underrated yet delicious place.
5. Plaza Ice Cream Shop
Sometimes the simple places are best. That counts for this long-standing Magic Kingdom Main Street USA spot. The fanciest item to get is the Mickey Sink Sundae, a sundae large enough to feed a couple of folks. After that, it’s basic sundaes and scoops in cones. However, the ambiance of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor adds to the charm and it combines into a place that offers a quick ice cream quite tasty to have while walking around.
4. Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
The prices may have become higher in recent years, but that just points to the quality of this Disney Springs location. Their boast of “world-famous hot fudge sundaes” is backed by how delicious they are. They come in a variety from plain old vanilla and hot fudge to mint, caramel, Ocean Beach and the Magical one that comes with a Mickey-shaped brownie. The ice cream is high-grade, and their shakes are just as terrific. So it’s more expensive than other spots, but it’s hard to beat the quality that comes in this place.
