It's 95 degrees here in Florida with the threat of extreme heat over the weekend. The dog days of summer are upon us, but Disney is hoping to cool us down with thoughts of holiday festivities.

Disney has been counting down the days until the holiday season this week, spreading festive cheer with its Halfway to the Holidays celebration. Over the past couple of days, Disney has given us a sneak peek at some of the holiday festivities and merchandise they have planned for this year.

Today, they revealed a brand new holiday party that will be hosted in Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios: Disney Jollywood Nights.

What is Disney Jollywood Nights?

Disney Jollywood Nights is basically the Hollywood Studios equivalent of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. It's a special nighttime party event for guests to celebrate the holidays and for Disney to boost its bottom line as it's, you guessed it, a separately ticketed event.

This means the park will close early and only those who purchased a ticket to the event will be able to get in. The event itself will run from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

"It’s a holiday vibe like you’ve never felt before. Sights of sparkling décor, sounds of modern beats over classic holiday songs, tastes of craft cocktails and decadent dishes. It’s nostalgic and it’s glitz and glam galore."

A Jolly Experience with Festive Entertainment

Disney Jollywood Nights will feature special festive entertainment that draws themes from multiple genres.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will host a new stage show at the Theater of the Stars which will feature guest appearances from Tiana, Belle, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse.

The Hollywood Brown Derby will serve as a glamorous jazz lounge, while The Hollywood Tower Hotel will host a "other-worldly soiree." There will be limited capacity for both of these events, however.

Returning for this event is "Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!" Join Wayne and Lanny from Disney Animation Studio's "Prep and Landing" for a nighttime spectacular with special fireworks, music and special effects.

Delicious Holiday Treats

No event is complete without delicious treats and, sure enough, Disney Jollywood Nights will feature an array of specialty menu items. From Spicy Korean Chicken to a Mini Funnel Cake to a color Christmas Tree Cookie Stack inspired by the Echo Lake Christmas Tree, you'll find plenty to snack on. There will be specially-curated holiday beverages available as well.
