It felt like just last week Disney Lorcana: Into the Inklands was released but already we're looking ahead to the fourth set of the popular colletible trading card game.

Ravensburger revealed that Disney Lorcana's fourth set will be titled Ursula's Return and while we don't have all of the specifics, we do know some top level details that should get fans excited. So let's dive into everything we know about Disney Lorcana: Ursula's Return.

Ursula's Return: The story so far

For those keeping up with the story of Disney Lorcana, Ursula, Disney's devious and power-hungry sea witch was freed from the Illuminary in the second set, Rise of the Floodborn. Now she's ready to put her plans into motion and take over Lorcana.

The Family Madrigal makes their Lorcana debut

Finally, Encanto will enter Disney Lorcana. We don't have all the cards, but Ravensburger confirmed that Bruno and the rest of the Madrigal family from Encanto will be appearing in Set 4.

An Amber/Amethyst Starter Deck will feature Mirabel and Bruno on the box, which likely means both of those characters will have their own foil cards.

A new co-op experience

For those who are fans of Disney Lorcana but don't necessarly want to only play against other players, Set 4 is introducing a new co-op game.

The Illumineer's Quest "Deep Trouble" will see players team up with friends or undertake a solo mission to defeat the glimer of Ursula and save Lorcana.

"The game follows the Illumineers as they track down the malevolent glimmer Ursula to her lair at the edge of Lorcana. Unfortunately, Ursula has been preparing for the Illumineers’ arrival by entangling other glimmers with mind control as well as causing natural disasters to create seemingly impossible obstacles. It will take every bit of the Illumineers’ skill and teamwork to keep Ursula from cementing her hold on the realm of Lorcana."

Illumineer's Quest "Deep Trouble" appears to be the "Gift Set" for Set 4. But rather than included two oversized foil cards, some additional booster packs and gameplay tokens — as we saw with The First Chapter and Into the Inklands — this will come with everything you need to enjoy the cooperative game. It will also retail for $59.99.

The game will included a guided gameplay area for Ursula, two preconstructed decks featuring Disney's Mulan and Yen Sid and built with cards from the first four Disney Lorcana TCG sets, and a fierce Ursula deck (Usrula's cards have their own unique card back). While players can use the preconstructed decks, you are also able to build your own deck and bring that into the game.

The game is said to be "endlessly replayable" and while it supports 1-2 players, it can be expanded up to four players with additional decks.

Disney Lorcana: Ursula's Return pricing and release date

Disney Lorcana: Ursula's Return will include two new Starter Decks featuring combinations of Amethyst & Amber (Mirable and Burno) and Sapphire & Steel (Anna and Hercules). The Starter Decks include everything you need to begin playing the game, including two foil cards for the two cover characters. These will sell for $16.99 each.

The set will also introduce iconic characters like Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey and Yen Sid from Disney's Fantasia.

Other product availability includes a new Illumineer's Trove ($49.99), Card Sleeves ($9.99) and Deck Boxes ($5.99) featuring the Genie and Snow White, and Playmats ($19.99) with Rapunzel and Tinkerbell.

Set 4 for Disney Lorcana will be released first at local game stores and Walt Disney theme parks on May 17, 2024. A mass market release (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.) will follow on May 31, 2024.
