Disney Need To Know: Disney World park operating hours and more for the first week of August

So you are going to brave the hot weather and hit Disney World this week! You are both incredibly daring and smart! Here is what you need to know about the parks this week.

Yes, August is torture in Orlando and while there is a little bit of reprieve when the calendar turns to September, there truly isn't all that much. Disney World is still a packed house but crowds will start to dwindle a bit as kids start to head back to school.

This week, well, what's left of it anyways is going to be a fun-filled adventure no matter what park you go to. Why? Because you are going and no matter what the temperature is, it's Disney! Here is your need to knows for the first week of August into the weekend ahead.

Need to know: The weather is always important

  • Thursday - 24 % chance of rain and partly cloudy with a high of 89. This is going to be your best day of the week weather wise.
  • Friday - 20% chance of rain and partly cloudy with a high of 91.
  • Saturday - 38% chance of rain with most of the rain expected in the afternoon. High of 92.
  • Sunday - 58% chance of rain in the afternoon with a high of 92.

Need to know: Magic Kingdom - Thursday August 3rd to Sunday August 6th

  • Early Entry: 8:30 - 9:00 every day
  • Park Hours: 9 AM to 10 PM every day
  • Park Hopper - Every day after 2:00 PM
  • Extended hours - Thursday 10 PM to 12 AM (extended hours are for select hotel guest check with your hotel or guest services)
  • Fireworks schedule - 9:20 PM nightly
  • Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade - 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM daily. 3:00 PM only on Sunday

Need to Know: EPCOT

  • Early Entry: 8:30 to 9:00 AM
  • Park Hours - 9 AM to 9 PM daily
  • Park Hopper - 2:00 PM
  • Special events - Thursday - 10:00 PM to 1AM on Thursday (Disney After Hours) $129.00. $99.00 for Annual Passholders
  • Fireworks: EPCOT Forever - nightly at 9:00 PM

Need to Know: Animal Kingdom

  • Early entry - 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM daily
  • Park Hours - 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Park Hopper - 2:00 PM
  • No Special events
  • Fireworks: No fireworks show at Animal Kingdom

Need to Know: Hollywood Studios

Early Entry - 8 AM to 8:30 AM

Park Hours - 8:30 to 9:00

Park Hopper - 2:00 PM
