Disney's latest box office animated feature film, Wish, has made its way to the digital home platform.

Wish, a film starring the voices of Ariana DeBose, Asha, Chris Pine, King Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Valentino, has arrived for purchase on most digital platforms. On Vudu, the film can be purchased for $19.99.

Wish grossed only $63.4 million at the U.S. box office making it one of the lowest Disney animated grossing films of all time. The overseas market combined to bring in an additional $170.2 million.

The film flopped at the box office with initial 5-day Thanksgiving projections being dropped from $50-$60 million to $30 million. The film finished the 5-day opening weekend $31.7 million. Unlike Pixar's Elemental which started off slowly, Wish could not gain the momentum for a sustained run at theaters.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film garnered only a 48% positive score from critics. One of the biggest complaints was the constant throwbacks to previous Disney films that some say detracted from the overall picture's overall theme and storyline.

Others positively noted that the film was a perfect nod to Disney's rich animation history and was a perfect compliment to Disney's 100th anniversary.

Part of Wish's early problems can be attributed to the actor's and writer's strikes that prohibited pre-release promotions that typically accompany major studio releases.

Regardless of what happened then, Disney is hoping it finds new legs on the digital platforms. For those not wanting to spend the $20.00 to watch the film at home (it's a steal for larger families who didn't want to spend a fortune at the theater) Wish is expected to arrive on Disney+ sometime in mid-February.
