Tiana's Bayou Adventure is nearing completion! The re-imagined attraction in Frontierland is now expected to open summer 2024!

Disney released a bunch of new Tiana updates Tuesday morning. One of them includes the opening timeline for the attraction. It was originally expected to open in the fall of 2024 but now Disney is saying the summer will bring the new attraction to life...and with it large crowds!

The attraction is themed as a post-Princess and the Frog adventure that takes guests on a trip through the bayous of New Orleans as Princess Tiana navigates her new life and success as a restauranteur.

I would expect the attraction to start its run as a queue-only attraction similar to what we see with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Tron: Lightcycle Run. This is despite the attraction being a refit instead of an entirely new one.

Over the last several days, savvy guests with keen eyes have noticed that scaffolding in some areas has started to come down. Over the last two months, Magic Kingdom opened the area around the attraction where the restrooms are located. From the top of the Frontierland train station, you can watch the construction of the line queues as well.

The attraction will center around Tiana's preparation for Mardi Gras which will likely become a big addition to the area complete with jazz music and food. How Disney will integrate it all is yet to be known with certainty but fans should at the very least expect beignets to be available...or at least we can all hope.

There was some speculation that the entire area could be converted into a more New Orleans theme but Pecos Bills' Restaurant sits at the corner before you climb the hill to where Tiana's will be. Next to that is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. If Disney is planning something more for the area, it will be interesting to see exactly what. It would be an awesome addition.
