4. Characters

No matter where you are Disneyland, you may stumble across your favorite character when roaming the park. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is no different. There various characters at different areas of the park, some will interact with the crowd, so have your head on a swivel and be on the look out. Make sure you pay attention to how your children react to characters. I know my kids were wanting to meet Chewbacca and some stromtroopers, but they did not want to meet Kylo Ren. Just make sure your children are comfortable with the situation before just going up to the character. Overall, I think meeting a Star Wars character is one of the coolest parts of going to the land.

5. Rise of the Resistance

The main attraction in Galaxy's Edge is the premier ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. It's an amazing experience that words really can't do justice to. The storyline, scenery, audio-animatronics, and special effects will be something you will talk about long after your leave the park. It should be noted that there always a long wait and sometimes it breaks down, so either go in the morning or late in the evening if looking for a shorter wait time. Honestly, with younger children, the lightning lane additional cost may be worth it to help save time in line. You should be aware that there are some interactions with some cast members inside the ride that could be scary to children, so reminding them that it's fiction (or pretend) could help. Also, making the get-away portion of the ride into an interactive game with your child could help them overcome any fear while escaping from the First Order.
