Five must-do's with children at Disneyland, Main Street, U.S.A.

4. Ride (or Watch) One of the Main Street Vehicles
There are a variety of vehicles that will transport visitors throughout Main Street, U.S.A., including a carriage, fire engine, horse-drawn streetcar, and a double-decker omnibus. My kids both enjoyed seeing the vehicles traveling down the road. They wanted to ride many of the vehicles, but I did not find the time to do so since we were not in that portion of the land for a long period of time. Originally, I was not sure about the pick up spots, but after a bit of searching, I found the signs throughout Main Street, U.S.A. about those locations. You could also ask a cast member about pick up times.
5. Watch Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
This may seem like strange advice because you would think that children would be so bored watching an old animatronic talk about American history and the Civil War, but I found that my children were at least curious about the show. It probably helped that we watched just about every animatronic failure video before visiting. So I think they were just watching and hoping for the animatronic to freak out, but it was still a place in air conditioning to rest for a bit while you get ready for the next adventure. I would also suggest that this could be something to do on the way out of the park due to its proximity to the entrance of the park.
