Although we're technically still not even in fall, it's been Halloween at Disney since mid-August. With October right around the corner, Disney is already looking ahead to the holidays.
Today, shopDisney made available some of its 2023 Holiday merchandise. From matching holiday pajama sets to festive sweaters to decorative home goods to commemorative collectibles, there are over 146 products currently listed.
And there's more to come too. On October 2nd, shopDisney will reveal the following holiday items, which I assume will also become available for purchase:
- Classics Christmas Collection Holiday Sweaters
- Disney Munchlings Season's Sweetings Plush
- Mickey and Minnie Mouse Holiday 2023 Ornament
- Hanukkah Collection
You'll notice when shopping that some items are available for purchase now while others are only available for pre-order.
The Mickey Mouse and Friends Disney Parks Holiday Train Set, for example, is available for pre-order for $151.99. Disney expects the item to be available on October 24.
If you're looking for a matching set of holiday pajamas, this year's Holiday Family Matching Sleepwear Collection features Mickey and friends on a festive green and white woven plaid design. It's adorable, no doubt, but I also can't justify spending between $34.99 and $59.99 per sleep set.
And that's honestly true about most of Disney's festive merchandise. As cute as some of it is, shopDisney is horribly overpriced. If there's something that I catches my eye, I'll try and catch a sale when it's at least somewhat more affordable.
Although Disney has already started selling holiday merchandise, the holiday festivities don't typically begin in the parks until November. This year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off at Magic Kingdom on November 9. New this year as well is the first ever Disney Jollywood Nights, a special holiday party in Hollywood Studios.
