Looking for some family-friendly Halloween movies to watch with the kiddos this year? While Disney+ is running its own Hallowstream event, those who have yet to cut the cord and may not be subscribed to the streaming service have another option -- Freeform.

The Disney-owned cable channel kicks off its annual 31 Nights of Halloween programming block this Sunday, October 1st and promises an entire month of spellbinding Halloween favorites.

Halloween favorites such as Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Monsters Inc., and The Addams Family will all be shown throughout the month of October.

There are also a few new movies making their Freeform debut, including Encanto. I'm not really sure how Encanto fits into the narrative theme of "31 Nights of Halloween," but it's a popular movie and I there is some magic in it, so I guess it fits.

Also making their Freeform premiere this year are the Disney Channel hits Zombies and Zombies 2. These original musicals follow a budding friendship between a human cheerleader, Addison, and a zombie, Zed, as they try to unite their high school struggling with integration between humans and zombies. When it comes to horror movies, we're used to zombies as the villains but thanks to a government invention, the ones in these movies no longer crave brains.

As far as Disney original musicals are concerned, I much prefer High School Musical but Zombies has some real bangers in it.

Other movies you can catch throughout the month of October on Freeform include the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, Little Shop of Horrors, the live-action Cruella movie starring Emma Stone, and more.

Here's a quick look at some of the highlights coming to Freeform in October.
