If you have visited Animal Kingdom at Disney World, you probably have set foot in Pandora to view the wonderful glows of the area at night. Magic Kingdom is about to get the same.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open this summer at Magic Kingdom, and the parks are conducting a series of lighting tests ahead of the opening. They have already run several and continue to make trial runs for the attraction as well.
The lights are going to be an incredible addition to this area of the park. Over on WdWMagic.com, they have an image of the new lights and the glowing blues, yellows, and greens.
The exterior of the attraction that will be full of live foliage and vegetation that will bring a Louisanna Bayou feel to the attraction and area, will be lit at night showcasing the beauty of the world they are creating.
Scaffolding is still in place around the attractions facade, and over the last several months, big chunks have come down around the ride. Over the course of the next month or two, the rest of the scaffolds will come down, and then, the ride will open to the public.
It isn't clear how Disney will approach the attraction in terms of how guests will experience it. Most believe that Disney will follow the current queue models that are used for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and Tron: Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom. This process requires guests to get up early and try to get a line queue number. If they can't, they must be in the park at 1:00 pm to try again.
There are rumors that when Tiana's opens, Tron will remove the queue requirement and will use a standard stand-by lane for entry negating the need for a reservation.
