"Footloose" by Kenny Loggins

Naturally, when you think of Peter Quill and his Guardians of the Galaxy, you can't simply dismiss the "greatest singer of all-time." Yes, we think that Kevin Bacon, and more specifically "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins, should be a part of Cosmic Rewind.

"Footloose" is the perfect song for Guardians of the Galaxy but is it the perfect song for Cosmic Rewind? The answer is no if I'm being honest but for some reason, it just feels right.

The intro is a little long. Like "Rule the World" which comes in at almost a 29-second start before the first words are sung, the musical intro to "Footloose" lasts 31 seconds. While it works great with Rule the World, it doesn't work as well with "Footloose." Following the intro, the lyrics don't sync well with the ride.

So why is it on here? Well for starters, it's a mainstay song from the entire series and spawned a storyline for the Guardians Holiday Special as well.

What would work with this song is simply to make a couple of minor adjustments. The song intro could be edited to about 20 seconds and that would align most of the lyrics to the rides twists and turns as well as some of the visuals during Cosmic Rewind and it would bring it much closer to being a great fit rather than a great song.

Yes, "Footloose" is one of those songs that has been overplayed for the better part of two decades but it is a part of Guardians lore and should be a part of the ride even if it needs tweaking.

Next up? A couple of honorable mentions.
