Earlier this year, Disney announced that Magic Kingdom park guests will be able to meet Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios' hit movie Encanto. The highly anticipated meet-and-greet will be set in the Fairytale Garden at Magic Kingdom, which is directly across from Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. This was also the place where you were previously able to meet Merida from Brave.

When can you meet Mirabel from Encanto at Magic Kingdom?

Disney has officially confirmed that meet-and-greets with Mirabel will begin on September 1st, which aligns with the start of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. Even though the celebration is just a month-long, the meet-and-green will be year-round.

Given how popular Encanto has become since its release in 2021, I can only imagine lines to meet Mirabel will grow quite long, quite quickly. This has me a bit concerned as the area where you'll be able to meet her is pretty small. Although they are renovating the space so that it features decor inspired by la Familia Madrigal, I don't know if they are adding any additional queue space. And while there is some shade in the actual Fairytale Garden, if the line extends beyond that, you start to get into some brutal sun. We don't know if Disney will offer any sort of Lightning Lane option to meet her more quickly.

Don't forget about Bruno!

Mirabel isn't the only member from the Familia Madrigal coming to Magic Kingdom. It was also announced that uncle Bruno will also be making his debut at the park on September 15. Unfortunately, there won't be any sort of meet-and-greet offering with Bruno. Instead, he'll be part of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade that makes its way through the park throughout the day.

Bruno joins Princess Elena of Avalor, José Carioca from The Three Caballeros and Miguel from Coco as characters with Hispanic and Latin American heritage that you can see in Magic Kingdom.
