One of the most outdated attractions at any of the Disney World parks is finally getting updated from it's antiquated content that likely won't be met with a lot of applause from the traditional Disney fans.

I will be honest, I don't like Country Bears Jamboree. I found it to be rather sexist in some ways and as I said, outdated. That being said, Disney has opted not to remove the attraction which is great for those that like it. The re-theming means it might be far more interesting.

At D23 expo today, it has been announced that the attraction will undergo BIG changes that will arrive sometime in 2024.

Located in Frontierland, CBJ is an animatronic show with, well, the Country Bears. Now, it will get a makeover that will keep the bears in their arena but will also feature new songs that will incorporate Disney music and lyrics.

There wasn't much that Disney could do with this area. It is wedged in between restaurants and doesn't take up a lot of space so replacing it with some other attraction wasn't going to happen.

Now, it doesn't need to be. What will be interesting is how much they upgrade the bears. It is going to be more of a country music styled presentation that will fit nicely within the Frontierland area.

Now, it's a waiting game. For those heading to the parks soon, make sure you take in the final shows of the current ideation before it changes! I might even have to go back and check it out as well.
