Playing Lorcana is something that I've been looking forward to ever since I saw the first wave of cards. The artwork is stunning, the cards are nostalgic for me, and the gameplay is something that I can enjoy with my family.
We have played with the starter decks for the ease of gameplay, especially with my kids, but I was curious as to what other cards I'd like to add to my decks. After a bit of research, I came up with 5 cards that I would love to add to my collection. Let's take a look as to why I picked these particular cards.
5. Flynn Rider - Charming Rogue - 74
I have to be honest about this card... I just want to play this card so I can pretend to give "the smolder" to the opposing team. I'm not sure how much I can really look like Flynn when I do that, but it makes for a fun game!
4. Merlin - Self-Appointed Mentor - 153
I love the artwork of this card. It's a fun scene of Merlin just as I remember him from the movie. I also like how you can get some extra points when you choose to quest with him. It really could make the difference in a victory.
3. Robin Hood - Unrivaled Archer - 157
Robin Hood is one of my favorites from childhood. I catch myself singing the songs to this day. I love the effect that Robin Hood has that allows me to draw extra cards if I have less than my opponent to help "feed the poor". How clever is that?
2. Kuzco - Temperamental Emperor - 84
I love Kuzco and Emperor's New Groove. It's one of my favorites. This card is great in the game because Kuzco can't really be messed with except to challenge, and his special move is "No Touchy!" How great is that!?
1. Beast - Wolfsbane - 70
Beauty and the Beast is my family's favorite Disney movie. Our family can basically recite the whole movie. I love this Beast card because of his "Roar" ability to exert all opposing characters. What a great weapon in the game.
