I think we can all agree that when it comes to Disney music, Powerline's hit song "I2I" from the beloved classic A Goofy Movie is an all-time great. Even as the animated film approaches its 20th anniversary, the song remains a hit with fans, and I think it's actually become even more popular in recent years as the movie finally starts to get the attention it deserves.

"I2I" — performed by real-life artist Tevin Campbell in A Goofy Movie — was one of two hit songs from the fictional pop star Powerline. The other was "Stand Out," another incredible song.

This week, Disney revealed a reimagining of "I2I" from the pop-punk band Magnolia Park. And if you like the original song, you're going to love this cover.

Available to stream on most platforms — or you can just listen to it below — the cover takes the same energy and excitement of the original and turns it up to an eleven. Check it out below!

Magnolia Park's reimagining of "I2I" will be featured on Disney's "A Whole New Sound," an album featuring a selection of Disney's greatest hits covered by iconic alternative, rock, and pop-punk bands.

So far "A Whole New Sound" is two for two with its songs. The first track revealed was a cover of The Lion King's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," performed by one of the most iconic pop punk bands of all time: Simple Plan.

As an elder emo, I actually wasn't familiar with Magnolia Park before hearing this song. They are a relatively newer pop-punk band, having formed in 2018. But they've already released multiple EPs and albums and are considered one of the leading faces of 2020's pop-punk. After hearing this cover, I can certainly see why.

We still don't know when "A Whole New Sound" will officially drop, but I absolutely can't wait to hear the complete album in full.
