A new topiary has made its way into Magic Kingdom and it took some guests by surprise...pleasantly.

A few weeks ago, Disney cast members were adding pieces to a topiary near the entrance to Tomorrowland. It sits on the shores of the mote. Now, it has been completed and is actually really cute.

The topiary is of a slithering dragon complete with mist from its nostrils. When I passed by it this week I mentioned it to my wife and other guests overheard me and immediately came to the rail to take it in.

There were quite a few smiles and those that were around us commented on how cool the little smoke feature was.

It's unlikely that the dragon will stick around for any length of time considering Disney does things like this from time to time only to remove it months later. We are heading into the spring season at Disney.

It would be pretty awesome to see the topiary stick around all year but if it does go away, make sure you get the chance to see it on your next visit. As you approach the bridge to Tomorrowland, the topiary is next to the mote on the right side of the bridge.

You can, of course, see more topiaries including the first projected topiary over at EPCOT during the Flower and Garden Festival that runs through May. The projection topiary comes alive at night when the dog from Coco is lit with a projection light. You can find this topiary to the left of the World Showcase Port of Entry as you head toward the Mexico Pavilion, however, it is nearer the exit to the Odyssey building.
