3. Baby Mine

Find a person who can keep a straight face during this scene, and they clearly have no soul. In the classic Dumbo, the titular elephant is being exploited by the circus for those giant ears allowing him to fly. When he’s abused more, his mother tries to charge to help him, only to be labeled a “mad” creature and locked into a cage. 

As Dumbo comes to see his mom, she reaches through the bars with her trunk to comfort him as best she can by singing “Baby Mine.” The circus animals looking tearful sums up the reactions of the audience as between the gorgeous song and the mood, it’s a moment guaranteed to pull at the heartstrings.
