ShopDisney kicks off Black Friday savings early

There was once a time when Black Friday would be a single day -- the Friday after Thanksgiving -- where retailers would offer savings on hundreds of holiday items. But over the years, with the rise of online shopping and the change in consumer spending, Black Friday has evolved.

It's no longer a single day. Now retailers offer weeks of holiday savings in the form of "early Black Friday" savings. Sales now run through the entirety of the holiday season as retailers compete for your hard-earned dollar.

To that end, Disney has launched its own Black Friday "Early Savings" sale. For the entirety of this weekend (ending on Monday), you can save up to 40% on select merchandise from shopDisney. To apply the savings, simply use the Black Friday Savings Event code "MAGIC" at checkout.

Many items on the digital storefront are already 20% off for the early Black Friday sale event. However, you are able to save an additional 20% with the "MAGIC" promo code on certain select items (they are labeled "Extra 20% off with code: Magic."

From apparel to accessories to toys, there are over 1,000 products discounted for this special Black Friday sale. Now it's important to note that this particular promotion ends on Monday; however, given that we're still so early in the holiday season, I expect additional sales to be offered in the coming weeks.

The actual Black Friday sales day is on Friday, November 24, the day after Thanksgiving, so it's possible that even greater discounts will be offered then. It's not confirmed though, so I suggest taking advantage of the current offers if you see something you like. Not just for the price but because if you wait, it might get sold out.
