Prepare for a unique new Christmas movie on Disney Channel this November. The Naughty Nine is a mash-up few might have expected: A Christmas film mixed with Ocean’s 11.
The film, written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas and directed by Alberto Belli, looks to be a fun take on a heist film with an interesting cast and fun touches.
What is The Naughty Nine about?
On Christmas morning, young Andy is thrown to receive no presents. It turns out he’s not alone, as his best friend Dulce is in the same boat. They come to the conclusion they have somehow ended up on the “naughty list,” so they do the only logical thing: Assemble a crew of likewise “naughty” kids, break into the North Pole, and get what they think is theirs.
Naturally, the heist goes badly, and the kids have to face up to the fact the only way to get their presents is to use their unique talents for good.
Who stars in The Naughty Nine?
The big name of the cast is Danny Glover as Santa Claus, who appears a bit rougher and bitter, no doubt upset so many kids are acting naughty. The rest of the cast are mostly young unknowns but should bring fun to the comedy.
- Danny Glover as Santa Claus
- Winslow Fegley as Andy
- Camila Rodriguez as Dulce, Andy’s best friend and archery expert
- Anthony Joo as North Pole conspiracy theorist Lewis
- Imogen Cohen as daredevil getaway driver Ha-Yoon
- Clara Stack as animal whisperer Rose
- Deric McCabe as master-of-disguise Jon Anthony
- Ayden Elijah as adorable charmer Albert
- Madilyn Kellam as Andy’s older sister, Laurel, a skilled gymnast seeking to regain her confidence.
- Derek Theler as Bruno, a disgruntled cargo pilot who claims to have seen Santa aloft in his sleigh.
When does The Naughty Nine premiere?
