EPCOT is still undergoing construction and some areas continue to be closed off. There is a new one.

If you are going to EPCOT in the coming days, maybe weeks, you need to know of one closure that could send you spinning back and griping all the way.

The pathway to World Showcase has changed behind the Figment attraction where the animated shorts building is at. The walkway used to allow access to World Showcase but is now blocked off by a green wall.

Earlier this week, we needed to re-direct all the way back to the cut-through across from The Land Pavilion. This path took us back to the Showcase Gardens area and from there we were able to move back into World Showcase's Port of Entry.

Several guests were lost trying to figure out how to get to World Showcase and there are no cast members in the area to let you know that the previous pathway is closed off.

If you have no intention of visiting the Figment attraction or the films the only real reason to venture beyond The Land is to walk through the butterfly garden and to see Pooh in the yard behind it with his butterfly catcher.

Beyond that point there isn't anything to experience.

It isn't clear when the walls might change but for now, it's another detour guests have to endure and they won't know they have to until they get there and realize they can't go any further.

There is your public service announcment for the day!
