Admittedly, I'm not a fan of Slinky Dog Dash but it is not the worst ride at Hollywood Studios. In may not be even the 2nd or 3rd worst in any Disney World park but Toy Storyland is not good for a lot of reasons and while the decorations really bring that entire part of the park to a wonderful life, one ride is such a bad idea it should be removed.
We are not talking about the Toy Story 3D carnvial ride, we are talking about Alien Swirling Saucers.
For starters, the ride should be reminiscent of an old carnival attraction that zipped riders back and forth as they criss-crossed in a circle. This ride runs the same way but the difference is that it fails to gain any real speed and it extremely short.
Many times I have heard parents complain about the ride being short and lacking any real fun. In fact, some have outright said that a traveling mall parking lot carnival could do better and honestly, I 100% agree.
This ride feels like a throwaway attraction that Imagineers simply had not idea what to do with that small section of the new land they were creating. It should be billed completely as a ride for younger guests in the 3-6 age group because after 6 and maybe even before, there is nothing redeeming about the attraction at all.
Toy Storyland should have been amazing and while again, I'm not a huge fan of Slinky Dog Dash, it's a childrens area and younger kids love the more adult styled rollercoaster that is geared well towards smaller (42" and above) guests.
