Deadpool and Wolverine will soon hit the bigscreen and when it does, it could shatter some records for the MCU and Disney. This will be a first for Disney pictures and R-Rated Marvel movies but one cast member cameo could have fans jumping up and down.

The iconic and legendary Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Professor Charles Xavier or Professor X.

Stewart played the role for all of the X-Men original pictures as well as making appearances in the prequel series that showcased how he came to be in a wheelchair. Now, he will again hit the chair for part in this third film. Stewart is no stranger to the MCU. Back in 2022, for the second Doctor Strange movie, "Multiverse of Madness," where he was killed by the Scarlett Witch in a different dimension.

Pre-sale tickets have been selling well and many believe this may be the film that reignites the sagging numbers for Marvel. Disney put a lot of faith in the MCU but after the final Avengers films were over, not a single picture has set box office records and many have failed miserably.

Part of the problem is oversaturation and too many characters getting their own films that don't really need them. The storylines have been boring at best, and they don't seem to align as well as they did or even point to a great evil on the horizon that will take more than just a couple of superheroes to dispense of. That is what made the original entries into the MCU so good. They all lined up in some way to wrap a story together.

Another problem is that the films are no longer enough to keep casual fans interested. Most of the newer films need to include some of the Disney Plus series to get a better understanding of who some characters are, and that requires more viewing than some want to invest.

If the speculation is true, however, Deadpool & Wolverine might be the breath of life the MCU needs.
