Ubisoft outlines post-launch content for upcoming game Star Wars Outlaws
With just a few weeks to go until the release of Star Wars Outlaws, a new open world action-adventure video game from Ubisoft, the publisher has outlined some additional content that will arrive post-launch.
For those unfamiliar, Star Wars Outlaws is the first-ever open world Star Wars game, giving players the freedom to explore the vast galaxy and visit planets both familiar and new. Set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, fans will experience an original scoundrel story through the eyes of Kay Vess, an outlaw seeking freedom from the criminal underworld and the means to start a new life.
Players will take on high-risk, high-reward missions from the galaxy's biggest crime syndicates, stealing valuable goods, infiltrating secret locations, and outwitting enemies. There's definitely going to be more to Kay Vess's story than what has been teased so far, but even so, what you'll play at launch is just the beginning of the story.
Like most other games these days, Star Wars Outlaws will receive additional content post-launch. Ubisoft outlined the two story packs that are included ni the Season Pass.
Story Pack 1, titled "Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card," will be available starting Fall 2024. Ubisoft briefly outlined the synopsis for the story pack, which involves crossing paths with a very familiar character.
"Kay is hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament, but as she crosses paths with the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that another game is being played.

Arriving alongside the first story pack will be two cosmetic bundles: the Hunter's Legacy Bundle and the Cartel Ronin bundle. Both include additional outfits for Kay and Nix plus cosmetics for Kay's speeder and her ship, the Trailblazer
The second story pack, "Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate's Fortune," will arrive in Spring 2025. This will see Kay Vess come across the veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka.
"The Trailblazer's reputation precedes Kay as she runs into veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who is looking to settle old scores with a ruthless gang of pirates."
The two story packs come with the Season Pass for Star Wars Outlaws, which is available as part of the Gold ($109.99) or Ultimate ($129.99) Edition of the game, or for those with a Ubisoft+ subscription. The story packs will also be available for standalone purchase, although we don't yet know the price for each yet.
Star Wars Outlaws launches in just a few weeks on August 30th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
