VUDU's Disney movie nostalgia sale is a perfect way to build your digital collection now for only $4.99 each

Sometimes, you can get a great deal on Disney hard copies of movies but let's face it, the future of movie watching is already here and it's digital. For a short while, you can add to your digital library with a huge VUDU Disney movie sale.

This week the digital platform VUDU is holding a Disney Nostalgia sale with 24 Disney films on sale. Many of these films are classics that you may not have heard of or have never seen and should. In fact, I am in the process of putting together a piece on the best Disney movies you haven't seen and many of these make that list.

Herbie the Love Bug - The original series is on sale with all four of the films available digitally. Each of the films, The Love Bug, Herbie Rides Again, Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, and Herbie Goes Bananas are all available. You can even get the Lindsay Lohan remake Herbie Fully Loaded as well.

The Apple Dumpling Gang - A crazy adventure featuring Don Knotts and Tim Conway as escaped convicts is an incredibly fun and wholesome film for the family and full of laughs as well. The original and the sequel, The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again are both $4.99 each.

Kurt Russel - Did you know that Kurt Russel started his amazingly long and successful career with Disney? You might be surprised at how it all started and several of his early featured films are on this $4.99 list. The Strongest Man Alive, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes and The Barefoot Executive are all now available.

  • The Absent Minded Professor
  • The Shaggy Dog
  • Escape to Witch Mountain and Return From Witch Mountain - both of which were inspiration for Space Mountain the ride at Magic Kingdom.

Oh how I date myself with some of these. Another great film is Darby O'Gill and the Little People. An Irish romp through the Ireland countryside into the world of Leprachans with a young energetic Sir Sean Connery! This is a must!

Another great addition, the sci-fi spectacular, The Black Hole which hasn't been this low in price in a long time. The classic takes you on a voyage into space like no other.

Rounding out the films is Blackbeard's Ghost, the more recent (1994) Blank Check, and The Ugly Dachsund.

Sadly, I was hoping to see Bedknobs and Broomsticks as well as The North Avenue Irregulars on this list but they are not.

Regardless, this is a great list of films to choose from for only $4.99!
