6. Swim in the amazing pools

The three pools at the Contemporary may not have the flashy theming of other Disney resorts, but they actually fit the sleek setting. There are two simpler pools by the main building and Bay Lake Tower that can offer a simple time swimming. The main Feature Pool is notable for a 135-foot water slide, hot tub, and cabanas for rental to boot. On a hot day, they’re great but also warmed for a cooler night to enjoy a fine swim after a long day at the parks. 

5. Gather around the campfire

As the sun sets, the Contemporary fires up the big campfire near the beach or Bay Lake Tower. The campfires let folks cook marshmallows and more over the roaring fire and the occasional story as well. This connects to Movies Under the Stars, playing classic Disney films on a huge screen by the pool area. Thus, the sun going down doesn’t mean the fun ends at the Contemporary.
