When will Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn sales go live on shopDisney?

Since releasing in September, Ravensburger's Disney Lorcana has been in-demand collectible trading cards, rivaling the likes of Pokemon and Magic The Gathering. Unfortunately, as this was Ravensburger's first foray into the trading card game space, they never expected the type of demand and popularity the game Disney Lorcana attracted.

The result has been maddening, as it's been nearly impossible to find Disney Lorcana in-store or online for months now. Additionally, secondhand sellers and even local game stores are charging double, sometimes triple the MSRP.

Ravensburger ordered a reprint of The First Chapter which began hitting store shelves in recent weeks. Although still nearly impossible to find, Ravensburger forged ahead with the game's second set, Rise of the Floodborn, which released in pre-sale at local game stores earlier this month.

Now the highly anticipated second set is about to hit mass retail. Rise of the Floodborn is set to arrive at major retailers like Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon and more on December 1st. And while some of these retailers are only doing in-store purchases, others are making sales available online.

As this is a Disney-branded game, one place you can count on finding online sales is Disney's own online store, shopDisney. Details regarding Rise of the Floodborn's release haven't been announced, but we can probably assume how the process will unfold based on the launch of The First Chapter.

Sales for The First Chapter went live on shopDisney at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 am ET. Although there's ben no confirmation it will be the same this time around, many are expecting a similar strategy.

If that's the case, you can expect Rise of the Floodborn sales to go live on shopDisney around 12:00 a.m. PT on December 1st. Some are reporting that there will likely be a second drop of Rise of the Floodborn product at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET.

Given the demand for Disney Lorcana, we can expect the product to sell out quickly online. Hopefully, Disney will implement some sort of queue system and a way to combat bots. Hopefully, Ravensburger learned its lessons with The First Chapter and ordered ample supply of Rise of the Floodborn.
