Why you still may be having problems finding content on Disney Plus

There is a lot of content to watch on Disney Plus but did you know that some of it may not be showing up on your account?

I'm a huge Beatles fan so when I heard the film "Let It Be" would be arriving on Disney Plus May 8th, the first thing I did was jump onto my television to re-watch the "fab"ulous Peter Jackson film, Get Back, only to find that it wasn't there anymore.

I don't pretend to know everything despite what my wife might tell you but I was genuinely saddened by it being removed. I immediately jumped over to Amazon to find the Blu-Ray version of Get Back. It's still a little more than I care to pay or rather that my wife will let me pay so I just sunk back into my chair and threw on the Beatles Anthology DVD.

Then something happened, I realized that my Disney Plus account settings were all wrong and yours might be too!

See, apparently a couple of years ago it was discovered that when Disney Plus rolls out a big update, they reset your account viewing permissions to content ratings of TV-14. In this case, Get Back is not listed and many other shows that had been gone for quite a while suddenly reappeared when I clicked TV-MA and below.

It makes sense given the fact Disney Plus has a lot of kids watching and Disney is proactive in protecting children from what they are watching without parental approval but being a parent and not realizing that the content ratings change after updates is something I should have paid more attention to.

So now you know, if you are missing content on Disney Plus, chances are, it's buried behind your content ratings. Just click on edit profile scroll down to content ratings and change it.
