With Thanksgiving approaching, many retailers are already offering their Black Friday and holiday sales. Over the past couple of years, there's been an influx of high-quality Star Wars video games released. From EA's Star Wars Jedi franchise to Ubisoft's new open-world action RPG Star Wars Outlaws, there are plenty of ways to dive into the galaxy far, far away.
Below we've highlighted some of the best Black Friday deals you can get for Star Wars video games in 2024.
Star Wars Outlaws
The first-ever open-world Star Wars game, Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws launched just a few weeks ago. The game received generally positive reviews, although it did receive criticism for repetitive gameplay mechanics and numerous technical issues. Thankfully, many of these issues have been resolved or addressed thanks to post-launch updates In fact, Ubisoft just released an update that removes stealth requirements on certain missions, making it much more approachable.
Easily the biggest Star Wars blockbuster released this year, you can find it on sale at numerous retailers. The cheapest I've seen it is on Amazon where you can get the LImited Edition for just $39.99, 43% off its regular price.
Amazon - Star Wars Outlaws - Limited Edition (Amazon exclusive) - Xbox Series X|S or PS5 - $39.99
Meanwhile, you can get the Star Wars Outlaws Standard Edition for $52.49 from the Ubisoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. The Gold Edition, which includes the Season Pass, is available for $82.40, 25% cheaper than the regular price of $109.99.
It's also available at Target for $39.99.
Star Wars Jedi games
Both of EA's Star Wars Jedi games are on sale this year, and I recommend both. They are both action-adventure games with the sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, offering a bit more of an open-world experience. The games are set after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and follow Cal Kestis, one of the last surviving Jedi being hunted by the Galactic Empire.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the first game in the series and is currently available for just $5.99 on PlayStation and Xbox. It's available at GameStop for $4.99.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues Cal's adventure. Now a young Jedi Knight, he and his friends continue their struggle to survive the tyranny of the Galactic Empire. Here's where you can find it:
- PlayStation Store: $24.99
- Xbox Store: $24.49
- EA Store (PC) - $17.49
- Walmart (Xbox Series X|S or PS5 Physical) - $30
- Best Buy (Xbox Series X|S or PS5 Physical) - $19.99
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
If you've got young kids who love Star Wars, then there's no game better than LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This is a fun and approachable LEGO adaptation of all three Star Wars film trilogies. From A New Hope to The Rise of Skywalker, you can experience all the memorable moments and nonstop action from the movies reimagined with signature LEGO humor.
The game features hundreds of characters, ships, and vehicles to unlock, dozens of planets to visit, and endless hours of puzzle-solving and action gameplay. I actually play this game with my four-year-old and he loves it. Here's where you can find it:
- Xbox Store: $11.99
- GameStop - $12.99
- PlayStation Store - $14.99
- Target - $19.99
