Disneyland Paris is setting the stage for a truly dazzling new era with a nighttime spectacular unlike anything the resort has offered before.
In a sneak peek shared this week, Disney unveiled concept art and fresh details about the new show coming to Disney Adventure World, the soon-to-be-renamed Walt Disney Studios Park. Set to debut above the all-new Adventure Bay Lake, the production will feature cutting-edge technology and fan-favorite Disney characters brought to life in a stunning visual display.
According to the post, the nighttime spectacular will include giant water screens, fountains, immersive special effects, and a first-of-its-kind water drone system, all centered above the massive 70,000-cubic-meter Adventure Bay Lake. The concept art features a breathtaking projection of Moana, surrounded by cascading fountains, music, and dazzling lights.
Floating above the scene is a luminous manta ray, aka Gramma Tala from Moana, enhancing the emotional resonance of the show. Another manta ray, shown separately in solid blue, appears to be entirely composed of the new water drone technology teased by Disney. Early testing for the show has already begun, and Disney promises the result will be nothing short of “BREATHTAKING.”
Elsewhere in the park, over in Frontierland, another update is drawing attention for its nod to Disney’s rich creative history. New scenes are being added to Rivers of the Far West, inspired by original concept art from legendary Disney animator and Imagineer Marc Davis.
The additions include natural landscapes populated with animatronic buffalo roaming the prairie and deer grazing near waterfalls, all evoking the spirit of Davis’ original vision. The enhancements also include genuine 19th-century props and a full renovation of the iconic Molly Brown Riverboat.
Marc Davis, one of Disney’s revered “Nine Old Men,” played a pivotal role in the creation of many classic attractions, including the Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, and Country Bear Jamboree. His influence continues to shape the park’s storytelling as Imagineers breathe new life into his early concepts.
In a fun twist, Disneyland Paris has also partnered with Doritos to introduce Doritos Loaded snacks at Frontierland’s Overland Trail Cafe. The venue has undergone both interior and exterior updates to tie the branding into the land’s overall theme while still supporting its immersive story.
The new nighttime spectacular, along with these enhancements to Frontierland and Adventure Bay, marks a bold step forward in Disneyland Paris’ ongoing transformation. With the World of Frozen set to open in 2026 and a scale model of Disney Adventure World recently unveiled, the future of the park promises a blend of innovation, nostalgia, and immersive storytelling like never before.
