Marvel's 2025 peek offers our first looks at Wonder Man, Ironheart and more!
Marvel has released a new tease for what’s coming in 2025 and that includes the first peeks at big shows like Wonder Man and Ironheart!
Marvel has had a rough time in the last year, with The Marvels flopping and the Jonathan Majors mess, meaning that Kang will no longer be the big bad of the MCU. However, they seem to be rebounding as Deadpool & Wolverine was a monster hit while Agatha All Along has won huge praise.
Now, Marvel just released a peek at their 2025 Disney+ slate which includes the debut of Deadpool & Wolverine on the streamer. But they also offer peeks at some of the new programs coming that promise to expand the MCU more!
Daredevil: Born Again (March 4)
The Man Without Fear is back as Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in this new series. It looks like Matt is back in action as both a lawyer and crimefighter, tangling with iconic foe Bullseye among other threats. More important is how Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), has become mayor of New York City, adding to Matt’s battles for justice.
Ironheart (June 24)
Dominique Thorne reprises her role from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as inventor Riri Williams who puts together her own suit of armor. We see clips of the action and Riri doing well, but the hint is that she may have to do questionable things to see justice done.
Wonder Man (December)
We get our first look at Wonder Man, which is based on the long-popular character. It looks to play on the idea of Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) as a struggling actor who somehow falls in with the always nutty Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley). It’s uncertain yet if Simon will gain the iconic energy powers his comic book counterpart has. Also in the cast is Demetrius Grosse as Simon’s brother Eric, who in the comics becomes the villainous Grim Reaper.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (January 29)
It’s a unique new take on the Spider-Man mythos. It seems the classic story of Peter Parker gaining his powers while in high school and becoming a hero. The twist? In this reality, rather than Tony Stark, Peter is mentored by Norman Osborn aka the Green Goblin. That alone looks to make this a fantastic new spin on Marvel’s greatest hero.
Eyes of Wakanda (August 6)
Acclaimed director Ryan Coogler produces this animated series that delves into the history of the fictional African kingdom and its struggles, including past Black Panthers.
Marvel Zombies (October)
Based on the long-running popular comic, this series begins where a Season 1 What If episode ended, exploring a world where a zombie plague turned most of the Marvel heroes into the undead. A few heroes like Black Widow fight back but it seems the big question is what happens when Thanos targets this undead Earth…
More details will be coming but it looks like Marvel is ready to make up for a rough couple of years by making 2025 a big one for Disney+ viewers!
