It's been 30 years since Goofy and Max saw I2I, and we've been going Goofy ever since!

One of the most iconic (yet underrated) Disney movies of the '90s was A Goofy Movie, and yesterday marked it's 30th anniversary. So, naturally, Disney had to go all out and remind us just why it's such a "stand-out" film.

We've seen tons of merch, the resurgence of Powerline, and much more, but Disney surprised us all by reuniting our favorite pair of Goofs, Bill Farmer (Goofy) and Jason Marsden (Max) for a zany road trip down memory lane!

Disney's voice actors remember going Goofy

Bill Farmer and Jason Marsden have been the performers behind a wide variety of iconic characters, but the roles that will stick with them forever are as Goofy and Max in A Goofy Movie and other pieces of Disney media. However, the footage below shares a more intimate look at the film from its two leads.

As pointed out in the video, Farmer and Marsden have been brought back together time and time again, and the Goofy Movie and the reunion are perfect examples of why. As the two reminisce on why that movie meant so much to so many people, they also share how it affected their acting careers.

The flashbacks don't end there, as this week also marked the release of the Disney+ documentary, Not Just a Goof, a behind-the-scenes look at every bit and piece that went into creating this '90s classic. Along with Farmer and Marsden, the film features interviews and appearances by other Disney alumni such as Jim Cummings, Kevin Lima, and even the infamous Jeffery Katzenberg.

In this writer's opinion, A Goofy Movie was something of a perfect storm for Disney. It's one of those movies that's so dated it's timeless. There's a heavy dose of nostalgia that permeates the entire experience. While not all of us experienced the '90s, all of us can relate to wanting to bond with our parents and vice versa.

For many, this movie set the standard for other Disney toons like Mickey, Donald, and so on. It had a classic style, a great soundtrack, and a sense of emotional depth that's rarely seen with many animated Disney characters today. Perhaps it's time for the studio to look back to the '90s, and start seeing things I2I with its audience.

A Goofy Movie and Not Just a Goof can currently be streamed on Disney+.
