Summer weather in Orlando can be rough, not just with heat but unexpected rainstorms. It gets worse during hurricane season as August and September can bring some rougher weather. Crowds in the summer are also typically larger since it's prime vacation time for many families since the kids are out of school.

Another time to avoid the parks is around the holidays, especially Thanksgiving through New Year's, as many want to see the Christmas decorations at the parks. March is also a tricky time because spring break can often result in larger crowds and longer queues.
