The highly anticipated trailer for Deadpool 3 is expected to drop today. While Marvel hasn't officially announced anything yet, there have been numerous reports that the trailer will debut at some point during Super Bowl LVIII.
Set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024, the threequel to the Ryan Reynolds-led superhero flick will see Hugh Jackaman return as the adamantium-clawed mutant, Wolverine. We thought we saw the end of Jackman's run as Wolverine in 2017's Logan but alas Marvel Studios is finally giving fans what we've always wanted — a proper film with Reynolds' Deadpool and Jackman's Wolverine.
We did see Wolverine fight Deadpool briefly in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine but most would agree that was a seen to forget. The changes made to Deadpool's characterization left fans largely underwhelmed by the sequence.
Now, 25 years later, the dynamic duo are set to hit the big screen in Deadpool 3. Today's trailer should give us our first official look at the film. So when exactly will it drop and when can you watch it?
When is the Deadpool 3 trailer releasing?
It's been reported, but not confirmed that the Deadpool 3 trailer will release sometime today, either before or during the Super Bowl. Director Shawn Levy was asked if the reports were true but he couldn't offer any official confirmation, statying only that he "heard that too."
Most studios use the Super Bowl as a platform for teasing their blockbuster movies and Super Bowl LVIII is poised to be one of the most-watched events of the year, especially thanks to the Taylor Swift effect. And let's not forget Taylor Swift was rumored to be appearing in Deadpool 3. Last year, Marvel aired the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
We don't know what time exactly the trailer will release but Super Bowl LVIII will start at 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. PT). So it's safe to assume the trailer will debut sometime around then.
We've personally heard the trailer will debut around 6:20 p.m. ET.
Where can you watch the Deadpool 3 trailer?
Super Bowl LVIII will air live on CBS and Nickelodeon. But given the film's R-rating, I'm going to assume any trailer released will not be shown on the Nickelodeon broadcast.
In addition to these two channels, the Super Bowl will also stream exclusively on Paramount+. The trailer may also be shown here.
For cord-cutters, another option to watch the game is Fubo and Hulu + Live TV. These services carry CBS so if the trailer is shown on the CBS broadcast, it's likely it will be shown if you are watching here.
Will you be able to watch the Deadpool 3 trailer online?
Again, this isn't a question we have a firm answer on but studios typically upload the trailer to YouTube or Twitter shortly after it premieres during the Super Bowl. If they do share it online, we'll have it posted here but I'm sure you'll find it trending on social media. It's possible that Marvel may even be saving a Red Band trailer for online, but this is purely speculation.
