Disney is bringing back some Galactic Starcruiser treats for Seasons of the Force
It's time for a great event for Disneyland fans as Star Wars Seasons of the Force returns. Not only will some old favorite touches be back, but Disney is also offering everything from new souvenirs to treats, including some from the now-closed Galactic Starcruiser! Here's what we know so far about the event!
For years, Star Wars fans have loved flocking to Disneyland for their lively Galaxy's Edge and links to classic Star Wars celebrations. It's always set around May 4 (as in "May the 4th be with you"), which coincides with Lucasfilm doing some Star Wars announcements.
This year, Disneyland gets the ball rolling even though Disney World has some of these events, too. However, Disneyland tends to go a bit bigger, with Disney confirming that the event will begin on April 5 and run through June 2.
Several touches are the usual, such as the "Hyperspace Mountain" overlay for Space Mountain. There's also the terrific "Fire of the Rising Moons" fireworks show set to John Williams' iconic score for the movies. Also, fans can meet the Mandalorian, Grogu, and characters from Ahsoka and Andor mingling around.
April 5th will also see Star Tours update its ride video to include locations from the new Disney+ shows, offering far more excitement for the classic attraction.
The Galactic Starcruiser makes a comeback of sorts
If you didn't go on the Galactic Starcruiser (and judging by its closure, not many did), some treats will be making their way to Oleg's Cantina. That includes the Fiery Mustafarian and Silver Sea Martini. Not only that, but guests will get the same special souvenir cups as the Starcruiser.
For those who have been wanting a burger in Galaxy's Edge, it's finally coming with the Bantha Burger at Galaxy's Grill, an Angus beef and vegetable patty, marinated pork belly, American cheese, Asian-inspired slaw, and sambal sweet mayo on a toasted brioche bun. Docking Bay 7 has the new Fried Chicken Baos, while the Grand Californian will boast some fun Star Wars-themed treats.
You can also feast your eyes on the gorgeous edible replica of the Black Spire Outpost with the Millenium Falcon, made up of 300 pounds of powdered sugar, 80 pounds of crisped rice cereal, 60 pounds of marshmallows, 100 pounds of dark chocolate and more.
The big souvenirs are the two brand-new popcorn buckets. One is themed to everyone's favorite crime lord, Jabba the Hutt, with Salacious Crumb at his side. The other is a Salvaged Stormtrooper Helmet complete with battle damage. Both are on sale at various points of the Disneyland resort.
Combine that with the past treats, drinks, and souvenirs, and as ever, Seasons of the Force will be a great time for Star Wars fans to visit Disneyland and get their hands on brand-new additions to the snacks and souvenirs roster.
