Disney Lorcana: Into the Inkands, the third set in Ravensburger's collectible trading card game, went on sale at local game and hobby stores earlier this week. And either supply has increased dramatically or demand has waned since sets one and two.
Not only was I able to purchase a booster box from a local retailer, but I was able to get it below MSRP and with free shipping. Compare this to The First Chapter and Into the Inklands, which were nearly impossible to find upon release and priced above MSRP, and it's a welcomed change for Disney Lorcana fans.
Into the Inklands doesn't officially release until March 8th at mass retailers, but pre-orders are still available. The Booster Box can be pre-ordered from Best Buy for just $143.99.
On Amazon, the same Booster Box is available for MSRP via a third-party seller, seemingly marking the end of price markups. Amazon itself is still using a virtual queue for its own product which users can request an invitation to purchase. You can request an invite for the Trove Pack -- which is always difficult to find no matter which set -- here.
Disney Lorcana released back in August 2023 with The First Chapter. Unexpected demand for the cards resulted in it being sold out nearly everywhere. Third-party resellers were charging double, sometimes triple the MSRP.
Supply improved somewhat with set two, Rise of the Floodborn, but it was a much more improved launch. Now, with Into the Inklands, it seems Ravensburger finally found the right balance between supply and demand.
Into the Inklands is one of my favorite sets to date as its heavily inspired by Disney's late '90s cartoons. Set 3 features cards inspired by DuckTales,TaleSpin andTreasure Planet, while also introducing a new Location card type and mechanic. You can read more about the latest set here.
