Disney Lorcana's next set of cards, Into the Inklands, is brimming with late-90's nostalgia. The third expansion set for the popular collectible trading card game will introduce cards inspired by beloved shows like DuckTales, TaleSpin and Treasure Planet.
Although we're still more than a month away from the Into the Inklands arrival, Ravensburger has been previewing some of the new cards. The most recent reveal is a trio of cards from DuckTales.
Huey – Savvy Nephew, Dewey – Showy Nephew, and Louie – Chill Nephew were all showcased on Ravensburger's social media channels this week. All three are Sapphire character cards.
Huey – Savvy Nephew, Dewey costs 2 Ink and boasts 2 Strength, 2 Willpower and 1 Lore. Dewey – Showy Nephew costs 3 Ink and has 2 Strength, 3 Willpower and 2 Lore. Lastly, Louie – Chill Nephew costs 4 Ink and has 3 Strength, 4 Willpower and 2 Lore.
All three cards have the support ability reading: "Whenever this character quests, you may add their Strength to another character's Strength this turn." Huey has an additional ability, "Three Nephews" that lets you draw three 3 cards if Huey quests while you have Dewey and Louie in play.
Ravensburger also revealed a new location on social media. Fang – River City is an Emerald locatoin card that costs 4 Ink with a movement cost of 2, 6 Willpower and 2 Lore. It grants the "Surrounded by Water" effect which reads: "Characters gain Ward and Evasive while here (Opponents can't choose them except to challenge. Only characters with Evasive can challenge them.)"
Locations are a brand new card type coming to Disney Lorcana with the Into the Inklands expansion. They can provide bonuses for characters who visit them or simply provide benefits from being in play. Another location revealed thus far is Forbidden Mountain – Maleficent's Castle.
Disney Lorcana: Into the Inklands is set to arrive at local games stores on February 23, 2024 followed by a wider mass market retailer release on March 8, 2024.
