The Family Madrigal is coming to Epcot at Walt Disney World.

The parks announced this week a new summer sing-along celebrating the hit Disney animated film Encanto.

The show, “¡Celebración Encanto!” will run several times throughout the day for a limited time throughout the summer. It invites park guests to sing along to their favorite songs from the animated musical. While the specifics of the show are still under wraps, park guests can expect to sing along with fan-favorite characters such as Mirabel and Bruno.

“¡Celebración Encanto!” will take place at the newly opened CommuniCore Plaza stage once the last remaining construction walls are finally taken down on June 10th.

Encanto released in theaters 2021. While the pandemic put a damper on its theatrical release, the animated film found new life and a larger audience on Disney+ where it often topped the streaming charts.

The film received critical acclaim with a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and an even more impressive 93% audience score. The film was praised for its gorgeous animation, catchy musical sequences, and unique cultural perspective.

While Encanto is set in a fictional town, it's located in the mountains of Colombia and inspired by the famous Cocora Valley and its settlements. Given Encanto's focus on representation and diversity, EPCOT makes for a great home for it.

EPCOT isn't the only place where guests can get their fill of Encanto. Magic Kingdom Park is also home to a Mirabel meet-and-greet. The Fairytale Garden was recently remade to look like the courtyard outside of Casa Madrigal.

Additionally, Disney recently announced plans to transform Animal Kingdom's Dinoland USA into more of a South American-themed area that will be home to both Encanto and Indiana Jones. No concrete details have been announced, but there's certainly some excitement surrounding the planned renovation project.
