Have you had a chance to ride the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run at Disney's Hollywood Studios? This interactive ride is as amazing on the outside as it is on the ride itself. In fact, the whole Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge portion of Hollywood Studios is arguably the second-best immersive land in all of Walt Disney World — the other being Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Just ignore the backside of the mountains when driving — they look rather ridiculous. No matter if you have been on this ride or not, there is a fun hack called "Chewie Mode" to use to make it even more enjoyable.

If you are a fan of Star Wars, you need to find a way to visit this park. It is full of so many fun experiences. You can even become a bounty hunter by using the Play Disney app on your phone and your Disney MagicBand+. You don't need the app to play, but it makes the experience more engaging. However, just walking around can make you feel like you are on planet Batuu. You may even spot stormtroopers or fan favorites like Rey, Chewbacca, and Kylo Ren.

One of the main attractions inside Galaxy's Edge is of course the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run ride that brings the Star Wars experience to life. This interactive and adrenaline-pumping ride takes guests on a thrilling space adventure within the Star Wars universe. Smuggler's Run is based on the iconic Millennium Falcon, flown by legendary characters Han Solo and Chewbacca. You and five other guests will step inside a meticulously detailed cockpit with flashing lights, switches and controls.

You are assigned a mission that involves piloting the Millennium Falcon and stealing coaxium — the material used to jump to hyperspace — from the First Order. Before you enter the cockpit, you will be assigned one of three roles: pilot, gunner or engineer. Choose your role wisely. Communication and teamwork is crucial in working together to navigate through asteroids, take down enemies and successfully complete your mission. Now, the ride itself is fun. However, there is a hack Disney created to make it even better.

Follow these steps to play Smuggler's Run in 'Chewie Mode'

If you want to make things even more interesting, you should hack Smuggler's Run and play in "Chewie Mode." Disney Imagineers are always looking to find fun ways to improve the parks. This little hack will not disappoint. If you have a group of six, it may be easier. If not, talk to your group before entering the cockpit to see if they want to play in this fun mode. Beware, you may need to teach them what to do.

Pilots

In order to activate this mode, make sure not to activate your position right away. If you want to hear Chewbacca guide you while you fly, the left pilot must push his or her joystick all the way to the left or all the way to the right. The pilot on the right must put his or her joystick all the way up or all the way down. While you hold the joysticks in position, press the activate button. Your job is done.

Gunners and Engineers

If you are a gunner or an engineer, your job is much easier. All you have to do is press and hold down a white button on your control pannel before pressing your activation button. Make sure you are holding the white button down while activating.

Make sure that everyone does this before the Case Member finishes their pre-flight checks. Not everyone has to complete their task simultaneously, but everyone must finish this process in roughly five to 10 seconds. If done correctly, you will hear Chewbacca guide you instead of Hondo Ohnaka.
