There was a problem at EPCOT over the weekend, and it appears to have something to do with Remi, the little mouse who presumably resides at EPCOT's France Pavilion. It seems the little guy has decided to leave France, cross the bridge past the U.K. Pavilion, and take up shop in Canada.

According to a report, the Canadian Pavilion's gift shop was closed for part of the weekend when a mouse or mice decided to make their way into the shop. It is unclear if the situation has been resolved, but there were reports of several mouse traps around the shop area and bags over some of the items.

Disney does a great job of keeping the critters at bay but they are located in central Florida and the parks are built on swampland. In the past, there have been alligators making their way through the water channels. I have personally seen snakes slithering around bushes and across sidewalks at both the parks and hotels. Last year there was a bear at Magic Kingdom that shut down Frontierland for part of a day.

The incident will be dealt with quickly and there shouldn't be a huge surprise given the fact the Canadian pavilion was under construction for a while before reopening last year.

Disney will sort it all out. The EPCOT overhaul has come to completion, and the Communicore Hall is now open. Sadly, Test Track will close down this week as the attraction is being re-imagined and themed. It should be down for the foreseeable future.
