Disney Lorcana: Into the Inklands, the third set from Ravensburger's trading card game, is set to arrive on March 8, 2024. Well, technically, it hits local game stores this month on February 23, but its mass retail release (at stores like Amazon, Target, Best Buy, shopDisney, etc.) will be next month.
ShopDisney has confirmed that Into the Inklands will be available for purchase from the online storefront on its day of release, March 8th. But there's one major change being made.
Rather than launching the product at 12:00 a.m. PT, Into the Inklands will be available at 8:00 a.m. PT.
Why is this such a big deal?
Well, for the previous two sets, those of us on the East Coast have had to wake up at 3:00 a.m. ET for the chance to snag some cards. As someone who did it twice, it was miserable — especially because we weren't even guaranteed supply since the game was in such high demand.
There never appeared to be any real reason as to why shopDisney launches products at midnight Pacific Time and this seems to at least show they are aware of the annoyance it was for guests.
With this new launch time of 8 a.m. PT, it means those on the East Coast can wake up at a reasonable time and hop on shopDisney at 11:00 a.m. ET.
As with previous sets, Disney Lorcana: Into the Inklands will launch with two new Starter Decks featuring combinations of Amber/Emerald (Pongo/Peter Pan) or Sapphire/Ruby (Scrooge/Moana) for $16.99 each. There will also be an Into the Inklands Illumineer's Trove ($49.99), Gift Set ($29.99), Card Sleeves, Deck Boxes and Playmats.
We don't know exactly which product shopDisney will be carrying though. For Rise of the Floodborn (Set 2), shopDisney only carried starter decks, booster boxes (a box of 24 booster packs), playmats, portfolios and the D100 Gift Set. We don't know if they will have the Illumineer's Trove this time around.
