“Walk-on” rides are a lot busier

Generally, Pirates of the Caribbean doesn’t have a really long wait in Florida and is often just a walk-on. In Disneyland, it can go almost an hour at some periods thanks to its different layout and popularity. Even It’s a Small World can take a while on a busy afternoon, and Fantasyland can be a nightmare sometimes. Don’t assume a ride that’s a short line in Florida can be the same in California.

The weather is different

One automatically thinks of the sun and heat in California, especially in the summer. However, its heat is different from Florida’s in that it is more of a dry heat than humidity. Additionally, rainy days in California can last longer and threaten a washout in Anaheim.

More important is how fast things cool at night time. I know full well how it felt going around in shorts all day and feeling fine, only to be shivering once the sunset. It’s more striking in the winter as California can have much cooler temperatures, to the point of needing hats and gloves in the parks. So don’t go packing for California like you would for Florida, as the weather can surprise you in Disneyland.
